Homemade Chocolate Chip Granola Bars
I can’t take full credit for this recipe, I saw it on TikTok and tried it, ever since then it’s been on repeat. We make this at least every other week. The kids and adults love it.
Try substituting the chocolate chips in this recipe for other fillings like raisins, nuts, m&ms, fruit, etc.
Preheat Oven to 375 degrees
You Will Need:
- 1/3 cup of maple syrup or honey
- 1/2 cup of mini chocolate chips
- 3 cups of oats
- 3/4 cups of peanut butter or your choice of nut butter
- 2 eggs
Mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl till it’s all incorporated. The recipe fits a 8×8 casserole dish. I like to double the recipe and use a 9×13 dish. Spread the mixture evenly in your casserole dish and then bake it at 375 degrees for about 16 min in the 8×8 dish and 20 min in the 9×13 dish. You’ll know its done when the edges have started to slightly brown. Set aside to cool. Wait for it to completely cool before cutting. I like to cut them into smaller rectangles and store in snack baggies for an easy grab and go snack in the kids fridge. If you doubled the recipe like I do, you can put half in the fridge for snacking and freeze the other half to restock them later.
This recipe is so easy and the kids love it. You can also bake them in some baking molds to make fun shapes or on the back of a cupcake pan to make granola bar cups to hold yogurt parfaits!
