Here is what you need:
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup dark cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup of coffee
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix wet and dry ingredients in separate bowls, then combine both mixtures. Put in a 9×13 pan and cook for 30-35 min or until lightly browned and a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. You can also use a different size cake pan or cupcake pan and adjust the baking time. Serve with chocolate frosting.
Chocolate Frosting
Here is what you need:
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 pinch of salt
- 6-8 tbsp milk
- (add coffee or esspresso for more rich mocha flavor)
Beat ingredients together with electric mixer in a bowl till smooth. Add milk and/or coffee or espresso to get a spreadable consistency.
